A place for this build
Put the tower on a garden rise or above a valley edge where its upper deck has a reason to exist. Leave space around it so both roof tiers can be seen from below.

Minecraft Japanese-inspired lookout tower blueprint: before you build
Cedar Lookout Tower uses a narrow red frame, two stepped green roof tiers and an open upper viewing deck. The plan describes its exterior; add a safe ladder or stair and rail details before using the lookout.
This original design uses 1,979 blocks across 20 layers, with a 25 × 25 block footprint. The blueprint targets Minecraft Java 1.21.4; it is a building reference, not a schematic or an automatic game import.
Building sequence
- Set the narrow stone base and four red corner posts, checking their alignment through both levels.
- Build the lower roof tier and upper open deck before adding the smaller green cap above it.
- Finish the lookout silhouette, then add safe access and practical lighting inside the frame.
Materials for this design
Counts come directly from the blueprint. These are the blocks placed in the build, before converting them into crafting ingredients.
How to read the layers
Layer 1 is the bottom of the blueprint. The map looks down from above, with north at the top. Toggle “Isolate layer” to see only the current level, or leave it off to see the supporting structure underneath. Empty cells mean no block is placed at that position.
